by the way...if this is supposed to be some day they have a show to release stuff, could someone let me know what cable television channel it would be on? and at what time? (eastern)

i would like to see it if its actually broadcasted

and if its not a date that they officially set to update stuff....

What I have heard is that Apple has never released hardware on a Sunday, so I would say look for it on Monday or Tuesday.. not the G5, but new Powerbooks and iBooks of the G4 variety.

buahahahah *points and laughs* they wont have the g5 laptop out for a while now...considering they just posted their upgrade, and it was a g4.

The April 18th date is a longstanding thing with Apple. It's right after their quarterly taxes and they always release right afterwards and since it was a Sunday they only released Software and waited until today to release the Hardware.

I wish I could bend time, and have it where I got one of the updated 12" Pb's. I love mine, but the new one is more what I wanted..the video capability mostly...and it's a faster processory, and faster burner....man it's so cool....well....I'll get the latests and greatest laptop and powermac when I graduate..or soon there after...so yeah.

I've got a lease on my Mac now through a third party Apple distributer, and we were chatting it up one day and I said to him how happy I'd be when my lease was up so I could get a G5. And he looked slyly and said,
"Yeah, by 6 months time, good ol' Stevie (Jobs) should have out his dual 3GHz."
"WHAAAA?"
"Yeah, seriously. That was the plan that we received about 2 months ago."
