Appleworks 6.2.9

About two weeks ago this program just stopped working on my iMac and my macbook. Anyone else have this problem??

It works on Intel-based Macs? Wow! That app is very old and I had no idea it could run on newer Macs. I know it works on my iMac G5 though.

Ok have you installed or changed anything about the time AW stopped working?

The easiest thing you might want to try is putting in the trash AW's pref file, restarting and seeing if the problem is solved.

The path to the file is here:

Macintosh HD -> Users -> Your account -> Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.appleworks.plist

Just drag the file to the trash, don't empty it right away. Restart. If all seems well, you can empty the trash.

If this doesn't solve your problem, it could very well be a software conflict or maybe something in the caches has become corrupted.

Let us know how this goes and we'll see where we're at after you report here.

I have AppleWorks running on my MacBook, for what it's worth.

Imagine that! That app hasn't been updated in how long? 6, 7, 8 years? And it still runs on Macs today. I just can't get over it!
