If you buy an IMAC for example with applecare can the new owner transfer applecare to his or her name? and if so how?

Apple care follows the machine serial number and not the owner. Thats why used Macs with applecare are a safe bet

applecare can be transfered but its not that simple.. I bought two PB's via ebay and both of the old owners had to fax in their proof of purchase to apple so everything could get switched over..
