I've been wearing the new, 44mm Apple Watch SE for about a day, and I can't stop thinking of it as Apple's FrankenWatch. It's hard not to, honestly. For one, the SE uses the same S5 system-in-package (or SIP) that we got in last year's Series 5, whic...

I have a Watch SE and I love it.

Light, functional and has an amazing battery life.

I also have a Series 5, but I prefer the SE.

I would love a blue Series 6, as I am an absolute sucker for the colour blue. However, I couldn’t justify the extra cost of the 6 compared with the SE.

It has a blue strap, with which I was very lucky on the size, so better than nothing.

I'm looking seriously at an Apple Watch. I've almost got SWMBO convinced I need one. I thought about the Series 3 but have pretty much narrowed things down to the SE (most likely) or a used Series 5. I've looked at the specs but, based on your practical experience with both, why do you prefer the SE?

Mainly the battery life. I am fairly sure it is also lighter than the series 5.
The strap is the fixed length one, the rubber one not the braided. I was very lucky with the size. I feared it would not be correct and would be too loose or too tight. However, on my left wrist it is perfect. Oddly enough on my other wrist it is a little tight, even though I am left-handed.
