Apple to address Jaguar security problems
October 31, 2003 - 13:16 EST In a statement given to MacMinute on Friday, Apple said that it will fix the security flaws in Mac OS X Jaguar (v10.2.8 and lower) that were uncovered earlier this week. The company also addressed concerns that it would not release any further updates to Jaguar now that Mac OS X 10.3 Panther is available. "Apple's policy is to quickly address significant vulnerabilities in past releases of Mac OS X wherever feasible," Apple said in the statement. "The shipment of Panther does not change this policy. Apple has an excellent track record of working with CERT and the open source community to proactively identify and correct potential vulnerabilities."
