Using Apple Mail on Mojave on MacBook Air. Just opened Apple Mail and discovered my "Save" folder is completely gone with all 50+ important emails that were in it. Checked on my iPad, hoping it would be there, but no luck. Tried restarting computer, hoping this was a glitch, but it's truly gone. I do back up my MBA, but I don't think Time Machine saves emails. Is there any hope?

It depends, was the "Save" folder on your Mac, or on the email server? I always create folders on the server, never on my Mac.

Then I would think Time Machine should be able to recover that folder, since it is on your Mac. Open Mail, then enter Time Machine.

Launch mail and then go into the Time Machine interface just as you would to recover any other file. When I tried it and clicked on one of my email accounts it gave me the option to recover email for that account. I don't hav much stuff in folders so I can't guarantee it will work but I think it will -- assuming of course that Time Machine has made a backup since you created the folder.

You're welcome.

Forget rep points and overly large cowboy hats these days I'm working for TP and hand sanitizer. :)
