Hello everyone, I think I've got an unknown problem with the screen of my Macbook air.
Here is the thing. You've certainly heard about the fact that if you put some light behind your screen it'll get through it and you'll see the apple logo enlightened backward.
Well... that's not my problem but it's not far away.
Here is what I see on my screen :
The shape of the apple is printed at the center of my screen as a ghost image and there is not any link with the ambiant light. If I put my hand on the back of the screen to obstruct the hole, I can still see it, same thing in a room with all lights turned off at night.
Could the sun possibly attacked my screen through the apple shaped hole at the back of my computer ? I don't think so, I didn't let it fry outdoor under a hard sunlight between 10:00 and 15:00.
Maybe there is a light source in my house that's attacking the screen, a LED or any other one with a specific frequency ?
I went to the closest apple store and showed it to an employee. He said it was impossible that this shape could come from the hole at the back of the computer, certainly my wallpaper had left a ghost image on the screen that was faulty. (I think he thought I was an idiot to tell me a huge lie like that...) When I showed him the only wallpaper I ever had on this computer (that wasn't containing any round spot at the center obviously) he was more annoyed and quickly told me that my computer could be repaired within one hour.
One hour later, I had a new screen and as my computer was still under warranty I didn't pay anything. That was great.
Six month later after the end of the warranty... (I'm sure you'll guess) the apple reappeared on my new screen !

So, what do you think ? I'll go one more time on thursday at the apple store but if anyone had the same problem it could help me not to pay for a repair I asked 6 months ago under warranty...
