Apple assembling small team to build 'the future of cloud services'

Apple is building a small team to write software which will lay the groundwork for the company's future Web services, which it has advertised as "the future" of its cloud-based offerings.

I think this will be the future. I hope they upgrade iDisk (I'm sure they will). We are using DropBox as it is much faster, but we would also like to see enhanced security features (e.g. remote deletion of a virtual disc on a lost/stolen/accidentally sold with v.disk active computer) and provision for multiple virtual discs. No doubt their mandate will be much broader than dealing with details like that but this is the sort of thing that attracts small business users.
