Haha, well...if Apple did copy the Lugz ad in any way...they made it wayyy better...I can see the similarities, but common...I doubt apple stole from them.

Apple would have done the same thing Lugz did if Apple's ad had came out first.

Has anyone seen the new civic si ad? its like the same thing only with a car. same color palette, same urban look, same simplified representaion of product. Why aren't they getting the same treatment?

Yeah I agree. I mean it is like comic book artists suing Roy Lichtenstein. I mean depending on your definition of stealing concepts and stuff. Basically you can find just about any modern art that is copying previous art or at least concept. Nothing is really new or cutting edge in my opinion because if you look hard enough you can find someone who has done it before. Unless it is exactly the same I think it is rediculous to even make fuss. I do mean more than changing one thing of course but using part of a concept is not stepping on any toes to me.

a little off topic, I cant believe apple would pick Eminem to even be in their ad. He doesnt seem like the kind of guy to be in their ads. Hes to hateful of others.

but I can see why Lugz would get mad, those are super similar ads

Has anyone stopped to think that perhaps it's a bit ridiculous that Lugz would think a three-year old idea resurfacing would hurt them in any way? Why should they invest money in lawyers simply for spite? They didn't SUE Apple, it was just a 'cease and desist.' Think it's just a publicity tactic, since Apple's a hot item right now?

Actually, he is not "hateful" of others, and he's gone on record with this fact several times. It's great how you hear his music, and believe him when he says things, but don't listen when he talks in an interview or biography.

And I agree with mynameis. Apple would have done the same to Lugz if Apple's ad came out first, no matter if it was 3 years or 10 years.

I don't see it as ridiculous at all. The fact that it is old doesn't change anything.

Particularly when you note how sue happy Apple is over just about any ol' thing. Funny how when Apple rips something off it's fine, but if it seems to be the other way and everyone has a cow. If MS had ripped off a 3 year old Apple comercial, what would people here be saying about it right now?
