aperture serial number

i downloaded 10.5.6 recently and then i went to open aperture and it ways i need to enter my serial number again. i bought my mbp on ebay ages ago and it had all the software pre installed. this has happened before with a upgrade but i was able to sort it out (logic pro) i have the aperture id file to try and get my serial number but it wont open. any ideas? thanks

Is it not included with the packaging that you should have gotten when you purchased the MBP?

If you didn't receive the license keys for the software, at a minimum, then you didn't get a license to use it. Unfortunately, since helping you would be legally dubious, we cannot assist.

EDIT: I was completely wrong about this. I didn't realize that Aperture could be purchased online, with no physical media or key, other than an emailed copy. ilovetechno clarified this for me in a PM and is absolutely correct - I jumped to conclusions, and for that I sincerely apologize.
