I'm not Vegan, but I have found a new love for vegetables. I've always despised them, but now I eat them with joy.

I am not either. But I have a lot of respect for vegetarians and vegans. I try not to eat meat but its hard because of my culture.

No, actually I am not. But because I eat meat I know how to hyphenate "you are".

YOU'RE not vegetarian/vegan, I couldn't careless because you have chosen to be ignorant but why do you feel you need to write in a thread where someone is reaching out for other vegetarians or vegans?

as the old mac adage goes: think different ;D

I would hardly call the man ignorant for choosing to eat meat.

not so much that he's eating meat, most of my family and friends eat meat.
I'm calling him ignorant because of his totally disregard and opposition to it.
just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean you can't see validity in it.

I'm not vegetarian, but may I ask what the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan is?

Yup, a vegetarian is more of a blanket term. There are different types of vegetarianism; semi, ovo-lacto, ovo, etc.. Vegan is the strictest.

I agree with Netty, lots of respect for those who can live a vegetarian lifestyle but it's hard when meat is deeply ingrained into your culture.
