I understand what you were trying to imply and I already saw that article prior my query here in the forum. That’s why I was looking for an alternative that my MBP’s thunderbolt 1 have an adapter to usb-c or thunderbolt 3 so that I wouldn’t be needing to attach multiple cables just to power-up and display vinpok split’s monitor. I tested asus zenscreen mb16ac’s portible monitor (if I remember the model correctly) which had a usb type connection instead of a usb-c. A single cable is used to power and display but this cable had a split end (2 usb ports) to connect to my MacBook. It was supposedly what I was looking for at the very least since I don’t need to have multiple cables. However, I have issues with it when I need to attach another flashdisk on my unit since I don’t have any available slots anymore because the device already hogged all 2 available sockets.
