macbook 2.4 Ghz intel core duo, intel gma x3100, 4 Gb RAM
to all who can help,
i recently bought battlefield 2142 for mac, and noticed that antialiasing would not work on any setting. my macbook has an intel gma x3100. STOP. i have heard people on forums saying they are stock cards with no power, but i have also tested Poser figure artist for mac. it renders 3d humans for art purposes and it will antialiase. can someone explain why this is happening? cus i would love to play bf 2142 with AA despite some fps loss.

edit: i forgot to mention, the slider for AA in bf2142 works, there is just no quality difference. also, poser 3d figure artist renders not only single frames, but animations as well.

Running that game with antialiasing on my Macbook Pro barely works...
I doubt you going to accomplish it on a macbook...

However, try to check to see if there are any driver updates for your graphics chip...

The antialiasing system in Poser could well be different from in games. It might even use the CPU for antialiasing tasks.

Poser doesn't use the GPU for rendering, it's a software renderer. I may be wrong, but I doubt the x3100 will do AA.
