A quick search would have turned up the answer. There is no need for anti-virus software as there are no known viruses for the Mac. The only thing it will do for you is slowdown the machine.

Hi Ash Welcome to the Forum. The only 'Have to do' is read some of the threads on this forum about that very question.

G'day ashbosh and welcome to the forums.

As other have told you, do not install antivirus software as there are NO Mac OS X viri and if ever one does come about, the world press will have a picnic trumpeting the news. Follow safe browsing practices such as not allowing codecs to be installed, do not download illegal, pirated software and be cautious regarding sites you visit, such as porn etc.

Coming from the Windows world users do tend to be quite nervous about runninbg their computers without AV software, but you will overcome that.
