Hi all,

I have a 2010 Mac Mini. A few months ago it was lagging and took it to the Apple store. They suggested that I add RAM, so I upgraded from 2 gigs to 8 gigs. By doing this I noticed some big improvements such as opening apps and being able to surf the net much faster.

However, when I brought it in I did complain about my browser 'Whiting out' and sometimes it takes forever to do simple tasks like checking my email on Yahoo ( the wheel keeps spinning). Lately it's been doing this again despite the RAM upgrade. Whenever I try to refresh the page it prompts me to 'Reload' the page and I do. This is annoying to say the least. What could this issue be? The connection?

Please Advise.

Thanks

Could be it's just the particular site you're accessing who's server is being temporarily slow. You haven't indicated if this is happening across the board or only on a couple of sites.

When's the last time you did any maintenance on your Mac?
I'd suggest you download Onyx - make sure you get the one that matches the version of OS X you're using.
To start off with, open it up and head for the Automation tab
Check everything in the Maintenance and Cleaning sections
uncheck everything in the Rebuilding section
hit Execute

Actually, I think it usually happens on Yahoo and Netflix.

As far as maintenance goes, I clear the Cache occassionally.

I will try Onyx and post back how it went.

Thanks

UPDATE:

I ran Onyx like you said. After, it did not show any results. Is it supposed to?

Thanks again.
