Mojave will automatically format your hard drive (spinner, Fusion, and of course SSD) to APFS. According to Apple, Mojave will not boot from HFS+, therefore you will have no choice in the matter if you choose to upgrade to Mojave.</p><p></p><p>Make sure you have a Time Machine backup.
