hey all i had a powermac g4 that i used for maybe 2 months. I sold it on ebay and was wondering if i should be changing my passwords and what not. I went in and erased the hard drive and installed 10.1 fresh. should that be enough or should i be worried? any and all advice is always greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it should be enough really, I doubt anyone is going to try to recover your data from an erased hard rive.

Not a bad idea. You never know... and once someone has stolen your identity, it's too late.

You could also alternate the following two commands against the harddrive a couple of times (Boot install disc, get to a terminal, then issue the commands). DoD likes to use this at least three times, Navy likes 255 times. NSA says crush the disk.

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/disk0 bs=8192
dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/disk0 bs=8192

I think the computer is already in someone else's hands, if I'm reading this right ;)
