All my photo's are gone!

Please help!

I don't know exactly how it went down but,
I was attempting to move an "untitled event" into a named folder and I recieved an error message stating an error had occured. At this point each of the albums and events had blank thumbnails. It looked as though pictures should have been there but just empty thumbnails. When I closed iphoto down and opened it back up, everything was gone!

I have no idea how I just lost all my photo's and have no idea where they went. If anyone has any advise, please help.

Did you rename your home folder?

I may have? I'm not really sure. I had just uploaded a few photo's of some windows i'm selling and created a new folder called "windows". The new uploads went to last import and I tried to drag and drop it on to the new folder named "windows"

When you click on your main Hard Drive icon and on users, what do you see in there folder wise?

it shows a house with my name and another one called shared

The shared folder is empty and when I click on home it does have a pictures folder. When I click that, there is one that is called "windows" However when I opend that, it's empty as well.
