Airport Extreme Error (-4) when configuring via Windows

I need some help setting up my Airport extreme base station with my windows laptop. I recently moved, no longer have macs, and found my old wireless router that has been collecting dust since 2007/8?.

using airport admin utility i am unable to connect to my airport. It recognizes that it is there, then searches for available apple wireless devices, and then returns an -4 error.

I am using the most recent version of Airport Admin Utility from the apple website.

Computer is a Win XP SP2 machine.

Can anyone help shed some light on this issue????

in case anyone runs into the same problem:
File ->config other
IP: 10.0.1.1
password (default): public

then you can configure.
