I have an APEX that's a coupe of years old, runs fine. I know I can hook up a USB HDD to it, but if I use a USB hub can I have multiple HDDs on my network?

I've used a hub with my Time Capsule before and that worked with a printer and hard drive attached to the hub. Attaching multiple hard drives should work. I'd suggest using a self-powered hub.I've had better luck with those due to them getting power from the electrical connection.
