airport express problems

Hello all

got an airport express from a friend(without the software)
im trying to connect it to an adsl bridge router(tnn networks dsl-600e)
first i have my macbook problem to recognize the AE although it has solid green light.
trying through airport utility .
is the missing softwareis a problem .
anyone knows where can i get one
or other suggestions?

ive installed the update,
but
the problem is when i'm do a scan with airpot utility, it doesnt recognize the
airport express, it shows nothing and asks for rescanning.
the light on the AE is solid green.
anything?

You could try doing a hard reset on the device. See if that makes a difference.

have you enetered all the dns server no's etc? I had the same problem with my computer reconising the airport but no internet... i hadn't filled out all the numbers required.. isp address, dns , smpt etc
