So my dlink router went so I set up the Airport Express that came with my macbook but now my iPhone can't find the network.. Any suggestions? Thanks

Make sure your Airport Express is not creating a closed network. To do this Open your Airport Utility>Manual Setup>Airport(Tab)>Click on Wireless Tab>Click on Wireless Options Button>Uncheck the box which states "Create a closed Network"

maybe the airport express isnt broadcasting the Network, can you set it up manually on your iphone by entering your network name and key

is it a new "N" airport, if so, have you set it to also broadcast "G".
