How do I block the adware pop ups, especially those on my MAC Book Air

Assuming you're using Safari, download and install the free AdBlock Plus extension for Safari.

Download from here.

Make sure you download the correct version of AdBlock Plus for the browser you're using.

Thanks, I'm all up to date with that, and what I just ran successfully identified a whole bunch of that stuff. As I said earlier I'll let it run for a little while then send the developers a donation. Thanks for your advice.

This is an extension for your web browser to kill ads, not an app.
