Adobe Flash Player 17.0.0.134

Good day,

I am very new to Mac and in Safari certain websites for my utility bills online require Adobe Flash Player to view and print the bill. Is it safe to use Adobe Flash Player 17.0.0.134, the latest version, on my iMac? If not is there a safe alternative?

I have just left the world of Malware and Viruses on a PC and don't want to repeat the same experience.

Chrome comes with a built-in version of Flash if you don't want to separately install Flash on your machine. If you wish to stick with Safari, then you have to install Flash and its perfectly safe.

Flash will install in your System preferences. Check that the notify me concerning updates is selected and you will be advised when this is necessary and you can then be assured you are downloading fom Adobe.

Like harryb suggested...download your Flash updates via System Preferences to make sure you get them straight from Adobe.
