Hello

i was going to buy the 15'' powerbook:

15.2-inch TFT Display
1280x854 resolution
1GHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache
256MB DDR333 SDRAM
60GB Ultra ATA/100
ATI Mobility Radeon
9600 (64MB DDR)
Full size keyboard
Gigabit Ethernet
FireWire 400 & 800
AirPort Extreme Ready
DVI & S-Video out

but now there is the new 14'' ibook with similar caracteristics...
I would like to know if the screen is 'a lot' smaller then the 15'' powerbook. I never saw the powerbook 'live'.
i'm a designer, and i work a lot with freehand.
Too me the biggest diference is the price... 700€ of diference is a lot to me...

thank you

Well the 15" PB isn't terribly larger in screen size than the 14" iBook. It's slightly wider, but not a huge difference. Personally, I don't think the price difference is worth it if your only concern is the size of the screens. The PB's are still higher-performance models, so that's also where the extra money comes in, but if the iBook suits your power/feature needs (which it most likely will), I think the 14" will be fine. Do you have an Apple store in your area where you could go and check them out?
