Hey all,

I have a quick question for you. Do you think a SR 2.2ghz BlackBook w/ 4 gig ram 160 gig hdd, is worth $750 ? Would that amount be to much, or would I be getting a killer deal, also has spec case marware palmtop cover and a sleeve.

I would be buying.
Opinions greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

If I was selling something like that it would be a lot higher.

Good deal for that lucky someone who gets it for that price.

That's a great deal. It's a C2D right? I dread to think how much my CD 2.0ghz is worth... :[

That really sounds like a good deal. Like someone else asked, C2D?

it must be a C2D, the CD can only handle 2GB of RAM

That's a crazy good deal if you ask me. I wouldn't have sold mine for that little. Caveat emptor.

where'd you find it?

That sounds almost identical to the scammer's model on just about every Craigslist site..

But yes, that would be a sick deal.

On another forum that I visit. Do you happen to have a link to one of these craislist listings? Do they have any pictures? I want to make sure I'm not looking at the same ones.

There's none on my Craigslist right now...

but every time I've contacted the person, they say they are in the UK, so it should be a dead giveaway if its what i'm thinking of.

Ah alrighty, thanks for the info. I looked around on craigslist, I didn't find any going on right now. This seller is from TN, so I am pretty certain he's legit.

I bit the bullet, my target was a MBP, but I couldn't get one down to the price I needed. SO I decided to purchase this black MacBook.

I'll keep you guys updated :)

Looks like this person tried to take a jab at me and they tried to steal my money.

I do not want to blame this person in the thread, but the specs are identical to the MacBook Tnjazz was selling, also the person was from Nashville.

http://mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122150

I am only putting 1 and 1 together, I am not saying it was tnjazz, but it is very suspicious. I do not know if it was tnjazz, or someone else. Whoever it was, they sent me a silly rap sampler CD, to make it appear that they shipped the item first. This way they could provide a tracking number and so then I would pay them, and they'd get away scot-free.

So, it looks like I've been burned. Paypal is supposed to be refunding half of the payment, and luckily that's all that I sent. I sent half, and then I was going to send the other half when it arrived.

Do you think I should report it to the authorities ?

- This week has totally sucked and now this..

wow so as soon as they could provide a tracking number you sent your money and you did, and when the item actually came it wasn't a computer it was a rap cd?!?!? ***.
