4s will not sync!

My iPhone 4s will not sync with iMusic on my MacBook Pro Retina via WiFi, only by hard wiring via USB cable. Every time I go to iMusic I just get the warning message "The iPhone cannot be synced because it cannot be found".
Everything else seems to work OK on the phone, it picks up emails etc from the WiFi.
Any ideas please?

What version of iTunes are you running on the MBP?

What version of iOS are you running on the iPhone 4S?

This may not be particularly helpful but I always use a cable to sync. Please would you enter all your Apple device details in your profile.

Do you use iCloud?
