4GB on PowerMac G4?

Does anyone known if the MMD G4 1GHZ or Dual 1.25 can take one 1GB Ram Modules so one could have 4GB of RAM?

20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
no the maximum amount of ram for the G4's is 2 gb with no stick being higher then 512

Just wondering if it was that the sticks were not avaible at the time apple wrote its specs. Like on the orginal 17 inch PB that can now go upto 2GB with 1GB memory modules.

the new powerbooks are built to support 1gb models the older ones do not support them. G4's can not support more then 2gb of ram and with 4 slots only support up to 512each
