It was whisper quiet a first but the fain began making quite a bit of noise after about two days. It (the fan) must have failed entirely because the Mac started shutting down of its own accord and when it did the enclosure was quite hot. A replacement was sent out as soon as I contacted Amazon and so far all is well.</blockquote>
