[QUOTE="lclev, post: 1854453, member: 307555"] Well I got my new 2020 MBP i7/32gb/1TB yesterday. I went through all the new laptop setup stuff and everything was looking great. I decided to use my Carbon Copy Clone to put all my apps and stuff back on the new one. And.... the problem was back - no keyboard or trackpad for a good 30-45 seconds and a lot of tapping the keys. I can't honestly say the problem was there when I did the new setup as I went right into CC. BUT I have made a discovery. If I turn off my wireless internet, let it sleep then it will wake up with it's keyboard and trackpad working every time. I went into discovery/tracking mode. I tried all kinds of settings changes - turned off IPv6 (found that suggestion on an Apple forum), turned off "wake for wifi" in power settings, no power naps either and well you name it, I tried it. Nothing worked until I shut off the laptop's wifi then close the lid and it woke up fine. So I am leaning toward an OS/driver glitch. Searching this on the internet brings up the fact this has been an issue since the 2017's. Some have problems and others don't. I wish I knew what brand of wifi adapter was in my 2017 as it never had this issue. I have decided since I know how to work around this I will keep it. I have been going crazy with just my iPad at home. Unless this thing develops other issues.... (I am praying the demons out of it as we speak!) Currently doing a fresh install of Catalina. I will not install anything else and see if I have the problem. If not then I will slowly add back in my apps giving each one time to see if the problem comes back and who is the culprit.
