Hi, I need help please. I have a mid 2014 27" (A1419) iMac, Was working on it when I heard a "Click" from inside the mac, (Like a fuse blowing), next thing the display faded and went dark. Computer still running, but no display. Restarted with the same results. (After searching the net and forums) shone a light on the screen and could see the menu's and desktop. I connected the iMac with screen sharing (via network) to my Macbook pro and it appears that everything on the iMac is running fine. I could even run my regular Apps via screen sharing and access my files. When I go to "about this mac" on the shared desktop and access the diagnostic panel, it reports "Passed". An educated guess would be the backlight as the culprit. Question 1. Does the backlight circuit on this model have a fuse?, If that is the case, what is location and what would the rating be? Question 2. If no fuse, would it be possible to replace / repair the backlight board / circuit without replacing the complete Lcd screen? Question 3. In the event that I am mistaken on my diagnosis, any suggestions on where to start looking for a problem? Thank you in advance for the help. Regards Peter
