… … … What I'm starting to question. How exactly do they fix my computer with 300 dollars.

That was just the point I was trying to make, especially considering the original price of that Mac and to replace what I would have thought to be two of the most critical and expensive parts.

I wouldn't think Apple would be making any huge profit on the job for that price, and rather nice to know.

This is true with any kind of electronic repairs. Even worse are auto repairs. … … …

Actually in this case I was thinking how reasonable Apple's quoted repair/replacement was, especially as I thought for two major critical parts. And I wouldn't have thought they were the cheap parts of what was an expensive retail priced new Mac.

Update: June 10

Picked up my Macpro yesterday, from the Apple store. Paid a total of 326.18 including taxes in Georgia. Everything is working great. Once at the shop they replaced the screen and it solved the issue. The technician said it was the back light that went out. The logic board failed the test but once the screen was replaced it pass the test. I didn't loose any of my files. For 326 and the screen retailing at 700 makes me wonder how in the **** can they fix it 60% less.

I'm a happy camper. I am not complaining about the price tag. :) I'll take 300 any day. Plus the service was taken care in less than two weeks. I'm up and running again. I hope this thread can help someone else. I'll be in this forum for now on.
