2010 macbook pro worth it?

im sure this has been asked 100 times but i recently found someone selling a mid 2010 macbook pro for $400. the specs are... 2.4ghz intel core 2 duo, 4gb ram, 320 hdd, needs a new battery. any input is appreciated! thank you

I wouldn't pay $400 if it needs a new battery (but this could just be me).;)

A five year old MacBook Pro with no working battery for $400? Run away.

For a couple hundred more you could get a fully working 2012 model -- which is essentially the same as the one Apple is selling now as the non-Retina MBP -- instead of a four-year old model that doesn't have many of the key technologies Yosemite relies on.
