I got a new battery last week, since my last one was only holding about 40% charge (that one was about a year old, but we used it EVERY Day, so figured it was dead).

Got the new one, perfect for about a week, 3-4 hrs charge, cycle count was at maybe 10 the last time I checked. All of a sudden today, I notice that the charging icon only show that the power adapter is connected/plugged in, but when you move the mouse over it, it says "battery not charging."

Did all the restarting, resetting Power Management (on a 12" Powerbook G4, supposed to ust press-release Shift, Ctrl, Alt, and Power; wait 5 seconds, then power up the machine). No luck.

The weirdest thing, my cycle count is now at 65295.

Get straight back on to the seller and advise them of your problems and ask what they will do gor you, preferably exchanging the unit.

charger 65W vs. 45W

thanks. One thing I just noticed is that my charger is supposed to be 65W, but as you can see from the "About This Mac" info I provided above, it says the charger is 45W?

Does it mean I have a bad charger too? Or this is a software issue?
