2.8 vs. 2.4 heat temperature. A difference, or is it just me?

I recently just got a 2.8 UMBP, 15 inch model. I swapped it with my previous 2.4 model. However, when it comes to heat, I've noticed that my 2.8 heats up a little more than the 2.4 on idle. For example, the temperature on the 2.4 was around 45 (according to istat) degrees when browsing on the web; the 2.8 measures about 50-55 degrees. I don't know if it's because of the cpu difference, or being that its a newer model. Has anyone noticed this difference? This is kind of giving me second thoughts of installing windows on bootcamp because I don't want to have the notebook heating up enough to be hot to the touch.

It kind of makes sense that a faster CPU in the same MacBook Pro series would generate more heat.

As far as installing Windows via bootcamp...I don't think that I've read any warnings from Apple not to do this...or from any MBP 2.8ghz owners mentioning that they are having any special issues.

Many many people post their concerns about how warm/hot their laptop gets...very very few if any have actually had any issues (other than their laptop get hot).

Go for it!,
