Hello!
First post here, so far I have found a lot of info on camera choices and prefferences but what I need to know do any one brand of camera sync better than others with iPhoto?

I love everything about my mac and want to keep things simple for my wife who would not try and upload images from our old Kodak to our laptop.

She would like something slim to take with us and be able to snap the quick picture of our 3 year old doing something crazy...which is always.

Picture quality is important but I have to say being able to pack it along in a pocket or purse and being to get pictures from camera to mac EASY is more important than special setting and effects.

Any help would be great!
Thanks,
David.

If your shooting JPEG, any camera will work fine. I dont use iPhoto but assume it is compatible with RAW images from any digital camera as well.

Going against the grain in threads like this, I would advice staying away from the Canon point 'n shoot models. I find that they produce very noisy pictures in low light situations. Ditto for Casio. I speak from experience: I have a Casio Z850 and my wife and my daughter have two different Canon models. By the way, this does NOT extend to Canon's higher end models, such as the Digital Rebel digiSLR series - they are EXCELLENT in this regard.

Generally, the best results I have seen all around, for smooth reasonably noise free images is Sony. Check out www.dpreview.com, and pick one of the Sony models. I think you will be pleased.

I haven't had any noise problems with my Canon S2 IS with regards to noise in low light.
