1.8 G5 wont recognize my RAM upgrade..

So I have this ram:

but when I install it it doesn't show it in "About this Mac"

The g5 runs with it in there, because it's in there now and I'm typing this post.

So what's up?

okay, never mind!

For some reason I thought I had 512mb already installed, but I guess it was really 256.. wow!! I can't beleive this computer ran this good on 256!! So now I have 512mb, yay! I'm going to buy another stick..
