I've just starting using Safari (3.0.3) after using Firefox for the first six months with my Mac. I had no real big problems with Firefox but just thought I'd try Safari as it's Apple's own web browser and everybody tells me it's faster but I don't really see it.

However I have to say the system used for Bookmarks is a mess or have I got it wrong? Items on the Bookmarks bar are easy to use one press and the page opens. However using standard bookmarks seems very long winded. Pressing the book symbol on the bar opens the collections menu, you have to highlight the book mark then move to the right and click on actual link, am I doing it right? Is there a way to just click the link on the left?

Also I loved Google Toolbar, I know you can use the search window in safari but this checks google.com, I want to use google.co.uk, is there a way to change the default?

Cheers

you can add bookmarks to your bookmarks menu. that way all you do is click on bookmarks in the menu bar and then click on the bookmark....hold down command to open in a new tab

you can do this by simply selecting bookmarks menu when you click on the plus sign from the drop down box...

Thanks, that makes much more sense! Guess half the problem I was having was because I'd imported my bookmarks from Firefox.

Cheers
