Hi there.

Does anyone know how to stop iTunes start up when I login?

My library is on an external hard drive and takes a minute to start up and if it has not started up iTunes keeps referencing my local hard drive (and that gets a little annoying to reset as it take ages to reference my library).

Is iTunes in your list of Login Items?

I am not sure. I did something one day and it started to boot on login (not sure what I clicked as I was not paying too much attention at the time).

Thanks for that. When I get home tonight I'll check that out.

If you have an iPod connected check the settings and make sure it's not set to open iTunes when iPod connected, having your iPod or iPhone plugged in when starting up will cause iTunes to open automatically.

It is in my doc and it does not have open at login checked.

The reason why it was doing it was because every time I restarted my machine my iPod was connected. When it was not connected iTunes did not start up.

If you have an iPod connected check the settings and make sure it's not set to open iTunes when iPod connected, having your iPod or iPhone plugged in when starting up will cause iTunes to open automatically.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a try.
