    Want To Learn macOS
In the past I have bought a manual for software I was interested in learning how to use better. The books I am referring to are called the missing manual the book that should have been in the box. The writer David Pogue does a great job in straight english how things work. I just got a copy of macOS Mojave almost 2" thick. I hoping this will keep me from asking dumb question now or minimize them anyway. I believe a book like this is invaluable IMO. That being said I have no affiliation with either the author or publisher or receive any monies for this recommendation. I just want to share what I believe will help newbies like myself.

Hi Kenny - I'm a big fan of Pogue's Missing Manual books - currently am reading the Mojave edition on my iPad, just released and about two-thirds through - despite being large and thorough in its coverage, I often pass over sections that I already know well or just skip features that are of no use to me (e.g. parental controls) - SO, for those who know macOS fairly well, don't let the size of the book dissuade - a great reference source.
