I had no problem changing my password a couple of days back.

But trying to log in this morning with the new one, I got the message that my PW or ID were wrong, and that I'd exceeded my number of incrrect login attempts (one!?!?) and had to wait 15 minutes before trying again with exacty the same details!!

Nothing gets emailed to you, the password change is immediate and you don't get any other verification. So give it a try.
Hmmm, I've had terrible problems the last few days trying to update. Noticed straight away that it posted email address. Finally back in but still won't allow me to change the temp password to something memorable. Think site started early on the Christmas booze, hic!

FWIW, my post did not say that having a password on this site is a pain. It said that passwords are a pain. They are, because you need so many, they need to be changed periodically. It's a pain. I was sympathizing with the OP.

I got the password change message too. And had some difficulties. I could get a new password fine and use it but had trouble changing it to something suitable for me. Keychain gives me 3 diffeent login/usernames/email addresses for this site and the differences between login name and email address causes a lot of confusion and 15 minute messages. I've had to write it all down in my secret little passwords book I keep under my pillow. So don't feel bad Keith. Just keep working on it.

(I tried to delete all the keychain stuff for this site to start fresh, but they look like they delete but are still there to automatically cause troubles). I am a bit computer literate, but I guess not.

Thanks for mentioning/confirming this Diane. We were wondering if "Keychain" might have been involved with some of the password change difficulties for some.

Don’t delete the entry, Edit it to correct the information.

Shut out again today...had to go through the whole rigmarole of getting a temp password. Have changed to my own choice but not tried it yet.

You will have to edit the saved passwords, to confirm the correct login/password combination.
