I have found that Outlook does not work with Mac OS Mojave. I have been having trouble with sending and receiving emails so I un-installed it and then re-installed it.I then found a message that said my particular version doesn't work with Mojave. I restored the old version in the vain hope that Microsoft might do an update. Nothing has happened up to now!
Back to Apples boring Mail.

What version of Outlook are you using? 16.16 works fine in Mojave.

16.16 version. It is very hit and miss. It won't install again if you delete it. I would be careful as I have lost emails both receiving and sending. Gone down a black hole although they are on my phone and ipad. I have a few email addresses but it no longer shows them or files attributed to them.

That sounds more like an ISP issue than Outlook. Check with your mail provider to make sure they haven't changed something that you need to make a settings change to accommodate.

Done all that. It is the fact the message comes up that the programme is not compatible with the current operating system is the giveaway.
Word and Excel work O.K

That's strange sine the Office suite is an all bundled together and either all of them work, or none of them. Hard to imagine that a couple will work while others don't.

I haven't un-installed the other two. They seem to be working o.k. I challenge somebody else to remove Outlook and then try and re-install it!!!!

Well, it wasn't a full install, but when I launched Outlook I did get a message that it needed updating, which it did flawlessly. Then it launched. No problems. Have you tried contacting MS about it?

When did you install it? Before or after the update?

I don't think I understand the question. I have Outlook installed, but I don't really use it. So, when I read your post, I launched it to test and it said there was an update, which I did, and then Outlook launched just fine. I don't know what you mean by "before or after the update."

Before the Apple update of Mojave. You are correct if you install it it says there is an update but it won't work installing it with Mojave.

OK, time sequence: I installed Mojave on day one. Had Outlook already installed under HS at the time. As I said, I don't use it much, so until your post, it sat idle. On launch this morning it said there was an update, which I let it install. It relaunched just fine after the update. I'm not sure what the importance of all that is, as it either works or doesn't (it does) and it installs or not (it does).

I have Office 365, so updates are presented to me automatically. But because I don't really use Outlook much, it doesn't do its own testing for updates as often as the rest of Office.

I think that must be the difference. I don't have Office 365 just a copy of Office 2011 which used to update automatically.

Would've been good to know that you are using Office 2011, since this Microsoft page clearly states that Office 2011 has not been tested with Mojave and is not a supported product. You need to be using Office 2016, Office 2019 or Office 365 to get reliable use on Mojave.

Sorry, I have looked and my version is 2016 and I have been receiving updates. No idea why it isn't working. Will try and solve the problem.

You probably should contact MS for support. It works with Mojave, you just need to get it working for you with the right settings, etc.
