I've been playing csgo and now I can't shut it down

the game won't quite normally, forcequit won't work either, trying to kill the process in terminal didn't work, doing sudo did nothing.... Help? the app prevents me from shutting down, and my mac is now locked on.

also sometimes the screen goes black and won't turn on for some time

It's totally strange that an app won't Force Quit and a "sudo kill" should absolutely take down a process owned by any user. About the ONLY way I can think of that the "kill" isn't working is if you have a zombied process which doesn't have the chain up to the root process.

You can always force shut down your Mac by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
