files greyed out when accessed from twitter

Hi when I want to tweet a file from my mac almost all of them are greyed out in finder. Help!

Are you using a separate app or the website? Either way, Twitter only supports add images in the usual formats of GIF, PNG and JPG. Nothing else is supported.

Thank you Ashwin. I log in through the website. The particular image was a pdf. Is there no way I can tweet this?

No, PDFs are not supported. You will have to host it somewhere else and then just tweet the URL only. You can use file sharing sites like Dropbox, Box, etc. for that.

Can you convert it to a jpg file, with Preview?
