delete MapsFox

Inadvertently downloaded a program/ site access to MapsFox.com. It constantly loads ads when I am using Chrome. How do I get rid of it? Am a true novice, have tried to find it in Finder and also tried to block popups in Chrome but it doesn't appear. Any help would be great as this is a real annoyance.

Uninstall an extension

Then restart your Chrome app.

It's always good to try and put posts in the right places but we all make mistakes sometimes. Next time you think you've posted in the wrong area let one of the moderators/administrators know. We'll take care of moving it if necessary. That's better than having multiple posts. When that happens members tend to get confused annd potentially improtant information gets scattered across several threads.
