I'm having a senior moment! I want to switch from automatically opening downloaded images in Photoshop to Preview. I know this is easy but I can't remember how to do it!

Three quick question's:

1. Are you saying that if you have a downloaded image...and you double click on this image...that the app that opens after double clicking on the image is Photoshop?
2. What file format are the image's. Are they Photoshop file's...or is it a straight up JPEG file?
3. Just to be 100% sure. Is Preview installed on your computer (users have been known to delete things that maybe they shouldn't)?;)

Yes I have preview! I have also solved my own problem.

I'm having trouble downloading and converting some very old newspaper articles. I had preferences set up to automatically open these clippings with Photoshop and someone recommended that I open them in Preview instead so I wanted to change the preferences to Preview. Even after doing that the files are not opening/saving with a resolution that can be placed in InDesign and be readable.

Thank you for answering. Are you by any chance knowledgeable about Photoshop?

It's usually hard to change the resolution of an image downloaded from the internet. Most sites, only use low resolution images, because it saves time (page loads), space (on the server), and costs. At least that was what they told me in multimedia/web design school.
