redirecting

Have you read Apple's tech article???:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203370

Or googled for info and a possible solution…??? like:
https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=safari+redirects&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

I tried the suggestions in the Apple's tech article. After trying that I decided to ask for help from the website that I was having problems with and the tech people were able to help me. I am not sure what I did wrong, but I know what not to do now! Thank you for the suggestions. I usually check the support. apple for information and google as well.

Glad to hear you got things working and are there any suggestions you could provide to any users for things not to do in case they run into the same situation?

But then again, searching this site with its search method could sure use some if not lots of improvement IMHO!!! :Blushing:

A redirect is something that occurs on the "server side" of a connection. Basically, you type apple.com in your browser, that's enough to make the initial connection, but then the server says "could you connect again to www.apple.com, please?" That is a redirect. Sometimes, the code on the servers gets to the point where one redirect will conflict with another and you'll essentially just keep getting bounced around without realizing it. Fortunately, most of today's browsers recognize this and simply stop following them after a few too many.
