- Mac Pro (2019) 3.3 ghz 12-Core 96GB mem Vega Pro II
I am a programmer for a small specialized software company. Our products are entirely Windows and Dot Net based. I work from home and program primarily on an HP Z400 workstation.
Three years ago I bought my wife a 27 inch iMac. Shortly after she also purchased a 13" MacbookPro. I was impressed and got a 15 inch Macbook Pro to fool around with Xcode and get more familiar with Macs in general.
This weekend, I gave up my workstation and switched to a late 2013 iMac. Because I must use Microsofts Visual Studio, I purchased Parallels 9 and migrated my workstation onto a Parallels Virtual machine. It went so smoothly I couldn't believe it. My virtual machine on the iMac is just as fast as the real workstation. Plus I can use all the great OSX programs. I am a happy camper! Thanks for all the great information I have received by easing this forum over the years.
