Apple just came out with something called broadband tuner. It's supposed to help with high latency and speed up your conenction. I have a few questions.

1. How do i know if i have high latency?
2. I installed it but its not i program...i can't find it anywhere. Is this just something that changes something in the system?
3. Will it hurt/slow me down if i don't have high latency?
4. If it is slowing me down..how can i uninstall it?

thanks

1. If you are not using a modem then apparently it will change your system to high latency.
2. Yeah it just changes a couple files in the system
3. No it shouldn't hurt at all
4. You can just click the installer again and the second time it will uninstall it, or you can click on Customize when you get to the right screen and select install or uninstall.

...allows you to take full advantage of very high speed Internet connections that have a high latency (5 Mbps or greater). The installer tweaks some system parameters.
So, I have a broadband connection that averages about 4.8 Mbps down. Should I assume that this tweak will not help my connection?

From what I've read this tweak won't really help much for most broadband users since it only optimizes for high latency which most DSL and Cable is not (think Satellite).

There are other tools out there that will do a better job at this like Cocktail.
