I totally agree with all great comments on your sage info for newbies. Excellent and helped me tremendously.
No need to blush.... Gracefully accept the accolades for they are due you.

Chas...
I just viewed switch 101 and found it so easy to understand. So thankyou for that link.
Next will check out mac 101.

All of the comments in this thread are so very helpful and makes me feel so comfortable with converting windows to mac.

I can hardly wait to get my MacbookAir,,

After being a PC user for a few years just starting out on Computers I purchased an iMac and loved it ever since, so simple and straightforward unlike PC's. My wife has a PC Laptop and she is now switching to a MacBook Pro, used for now. When you lok at all the hassles of a PC, the extra time consuming work and frustration it involves Apple is a no brainer. Thanks for the info.

grouston

Many thanks for your words of encouragement.
Now that I have made up my mind there is no issue.
I will learn as I go along making apple products work for me
Until such time I feel that I just NEED to have a particular program.
Nothing like a mental change to stimulate those grey cells!
